I just stood there quietly while thinking, I wasnt hitting on you, Granny!
Oh, well. Theres all types of people out there, and I obviously survived what seemed like an insult to me at the time. Lol.

Anyway, I almost bumped [her fault] into a pass for 80 woman on my way out of the cardio gym, apologized with a pleasant smile, and she really acted as if I was hitting on her - before she indignantly toddled on.
I did not react at all until I noticed a gym friend who saw all this. I deadpan said to my friend, 'I guess I just got shot down'.
His reaction was,

(14,853 posts)In regard to the invisible perception, I indeed assumed that my compliment about her perfume, which was genuine, would be especially appreciated from a woman her age.
Its really hard to predict people sometimes.
