acoustic guitar players

have you ever heard your guitar while standing or sitting in front of it?

No monitor, no amp, nothing but strings?

Just wondering.

1. Are you near a highway

2. I always hear it through my hands when I touch it. But even better I have recordings of me

playing and singing and it's pretty awesome...

recording myself that is. I've just never heard someone else play my instrument.

Now I have something to look forward to doing tomorrow.

6. I never made polished recordings, just suitable for sending in for copyright. Those can be

pretty rough but fun anyway.

and then pick the best one...

7. I hear mine in my sleep.

My baby is a '39 Martin 0017, a small guitar, light and flavorful.
I have several others but that was my first when I was 17 in '67.

I let others play my guitars if I feel comfortable that they know what they're doing. Even Howard Dean is a fellow Leo Kottke fan, and has played on one of my 12 strings.
