Here in North Houston, the ratio is about 90% without mask 10% with masks.

I don't expect it to get any better, we live in deep denial territory.

Our local Sprouts market has 100% staff masked/gloved; shoppers are 75% masked. Definitely some stubborn looks on the Covidiots.
Target is great, wipes down all the card machines between each customer, I would say staff is 90% masked.

the store. Other stores may or may not require them, but people are wearing them anyway.

Everyone here is taking this seriously. Maybe it's largely because so many of us personally know at least one of the thousands of victims.

It's the one in my town, and nowhere near as crowded as the Lowes or Home Depots in the bigger cities are. No employees wearing masks, and including me, only three of the 6-7 customers in the store. They did have a plexiglass shield between the cashiers and the customers, running the entire length of the checkout counter.

Staff and customers. Most staff also gloved. (Howard County, MD, midway between DC and Baltimore).

if youbm do not count the majority wearing masks like necklaces.

Masked employee sprayed something on cart handle & wiped it down before giving it to me.

Absolutely no social distancing adhered to.

Plexi glass shield between customer & cashier, whixh is a good thing, because her mask was pulled down around her neck.

A few customers, including yours truly were wearing masks. I also had wrap-around goggles on.

This is in Memphis burbs. 🤮

A couple of days ago to Walmart and ShopRite.

100% staff wearing masks
100% customers wearing masks, but about 10% very poorly. One woman had her scarf as a mask but it slipped down or she pulled it down. A guy had a real surgical mask, I think, but it was on his chin. Yeah, some wearing them like necklaces, like SheltieLover said.

But there were Plexiglass shields and good social distancing mostly.

A couple of customers were blocking lanes in the middle of a four aisle junction for ages.

Some have little self awareness. As usual.

Oh well.

children either. Not faulting them for bringing their kids into the public, perhaps single parents. But they should do whatever they can to protect them.

Of course the masks are more to protect others than yourself, but I figure anything that comes between me and a convid19 bacteria, is worth wearing.

They did have six foot markers at the checkout, but no one was paying attention to it.

This place is known for its fresh meat, and the guy there told me they are having trouble keeping up. Folks are filling their freezers.

yesterday's Winco Run,about 60% of customers wearing masks. Zero masks on Employees,as the MOD what was the deal,Corporate Offices are in Idaho and there for no masks required. Our Friend works the Bakery Department and her Immune System is screwed up royally,so when she asked for masks three weeks ago,her Manager told her either quit or take a leave of absence for five weeks.

Had to run to Wal Mart for our Neighbors to pick up their Meds. About fifty percent with masks, employees maybe thirty percent.

One could pick out the MAGA's as well as those folks who think they are immune to this Virus. Especially the Brown Skinned Neighbors.

And today was the first day Walmart sanitized their Carts, wow, that is more than I can say for Winco.

were the same ones (all guys, by the way!) who couldn't follow the direction of the arrows on the floor. They probably drive the same way.

Store staff was completely masked, but not sure if it was a requirement for them. Stop & Shop seems to be on top of their sanitation practices. Many employees were wiping down racks and bins, sanitized carts at the ready when entering, produce and bakery items bagged rather than loose, floor arrows, deli closed, shields at the register, one way only into the store, and continual announcements about social distancing.

Still couldn't wait to get back home, though.

I went to Walgreen's. (Can't remember if there was pexiglass at the checkout)

Not crowded. I bought some over priced stuff, but I don't have to worry about getting close to shoppers, so I'm OK with it.

Didn't have an option to wipe carts and I didn't observe it either. (I left my wipes in the car....darn...shopping has turned into such a chore!!)

took a young female cat we acquired last fall in to be spayed. interesting procedure at the low cost clinic. all staff was masked and I only observed one customer with one out of about 9 or 10 of us. I did not wear one. they only allowed one person in at a time to pick up their paperwork. 6 foot markings on sidewalk out front for when a line built up. you took your paperwork back to your vehicle to fill out then returned to the line to hand it in. then back to vehicle to wait for a tech to come get your pet. this was a drop off at 7 to 8 in morning, pick up at 3 to 5 deal. at about 10 they called and gave some instructions and took payment over phone. at pick up time you called from your vehicle and a tech brought the pet and receipt/further instructions out.

next to the pool store for liquid chlorine (ssshhhhh don't tell anybody) nobody masked in there but they had a folding table in front of the cashier counter to keep people back and there was a paper taped to it saying something to the effect of shopping with your kids was not a good idea, not a recreational activity.

traffic was surreal - like an early Sunday morning or something. in and out of town with three errands a couple miles apart in about an hour!

I also went to the east side Trader Joe's, got there at about 8, parking lot almost empty (never seen that!), though the drive-thru line at the starbucks in the same shopping center was backed up, no line to get into TJs, staff was masked and I would say 2/3 to 3/4 of the few customers were. that kind of surprised me as way back in early march there were already a number of masked customers wiping down their carts (improperly to achieve disinfection, but my opinion on a lot of this is that most are achieving a sort of placebo effect at best anyway) so seeing a fair number at this point was interesting. I was shopping for myself and an older gentleman/family friend but since it wasn't crowded, I got out of there in record time. there was an employee out front spraying the carts with some kind of yard sprayer and whatever he was dispensing it had no noticeable odor. normally I would chat with someone like that if they weren't busy but since I wasn't wearing a mask I didn't want to freak anybody out by talking to them.

the masked customers didn't seem to care about the unmasked customers (no dirty looks) but people noticeably tried to stay a good distance apart and most all were single shoppers, no teams or families.

I noticed the same in my local store a few weeks ago, it makes shopping so much nicer and less crowded.

(note: I am 100% sure I am not carrying this virus - at least as of yesterday, since I am very isolated even under normal circumstances and for the last month and a half it has been even more extreme. there have only been about 250 cases documented statewide, 31 in my county, and the first in the nearest town was this week, and I had not been shopping there in over 2 weeks. I had a homemade mask and a scarf with me that I planned to wear if it was mandatory)
