I owed for 2018 and 2019 so I gave the IRS my info for a direct deposit. Now the IRS "Get my payment" site doesn't like me. I can wait. But I sure don't want Drumph's letter included in a check.

I haven't checked with any agencies about status, but a friend did, learned his will be in the mail 'next week,' and surmises mine will follow soon thereafter; I'm not sure about mine, but expect it will wander in 'some time.'

I went to post office, and all they suggest is another change of address card taking 7-14 days. Then called apartment complex manager, and left a note on the post box, and even ran into post man and gave them all a heads up. Manager called people at my address, they have a heads up. Fingers crossed I get it and not mailed back cause then I will never get it.

I saw headlines about that happening, but I paid no attention because she died in 2018 and I assumed it was only an issue for those who had recently died. I did a little research and it doesn’t look like they have yet worked out a procedure for how to return it. It says “DECD” in the top line after her name, so it seems like with a little more thought and planning they could have avoided this.
