Everything crashing in on me. I can't stop crying. For some reason I can't get get an apartment because I can't afford to buy furniture. I don't understand that. How can that block a housing voucher?
Need some vibs please.

But they are fighting with each other. They each have their own rules and are very territorial over the people they choose to help.
They have somehow lost my birth certificate and ss card. They needed them for paperwork and told me to come back in an hour to pick them up. Went to get them and they can't find them.
They've somehow messed up my snaps. I can't get my tax return money because I need to provide my paperwork to them to show I am who I am. And thus no stimulus.
I should have stayed on the streets.

(21,646 posts)But of course those second hand stores that do that for people would be closed right now due to the virus so others here would be stuck now too.
I think it has to do with safety Im not sure
Also sanitation reasons , but maybe try numbers for Salvation Army or Vincent de Paul in your area even if stores are closed they may have some means
Here is some numbers

You might look around to see if such a thing exists were you are at.

(111,170 posts)I slept many a night on an aluminum frame pool chair. I don't know what the hell the hangup with furniture is.
Hang in there. With what's about to hit them, they're going to be a lot less fussy in a month or two, desperate for tenants that can pay and that voucher is going to look too good to pass up.
Right now, their priorities are backward. First, the roof over your head. Next is scouting thrift shops and castoffs for something to sit on and a table to eat at and a mattress to sleep on, you can call it minimalist these days and get away with it.

(14,120 posts)And they aren't answering any questions about what I can do. They want me to have it all ready to move in. Yet they don't want me to work with other agencies that can help me.
I don't understand why not, if they can't help in that department.
I don't understand anything going on anymore.

(111,170 posts)Republicans have built Catch-22s into everything. You have no furniture because you have no place to put it, so they won't allow you to get a place to put it. I hate those people.
Check out every place you can scrounge anything, like churches, Craigslist, Freecycle, even the dump, if it's allowed. Salvation Army is good for some basics. Notes on bulletin boards in churches are good, people always have something they'd like to get rid of.
Just make a list and be flexible. It will likely look like shit when you're done but you can work on that later.
