In these times of turmoil I find humor a Monty python holy grail moment trout fishing
Trout fishing with our boys today. Now these two like to get a jump on dad I get it. It’s a competition try to beat the old man my brothers and I were same. So I like to fish and cast up stream. So we hit this secluded part of a nice trout stream below this old rock quarry and rail road bridge. The stream runs out of two state parks and hugs the southern mountain close to Appalachian trail.
Anyway my two fatheads fifteen and sixteen gotta get the jump. And try and beat dad working upstream. They’re maybe 25 meters above me as I’m working this nice hole and in the past I’ve caught trout here It breaks off fast water and slows down in a bend.
I look up hearing splashing and my two meatheads come splashing towards me in chest waders, on the edge of this deep hole. I’m like what are you guys doing I get snake dad snake big snake it’s a rattler in the water it’s in the water dad coming down stream. The big snake turned out to be a tree branch they saw floating towards them. Afterwards we were having burgers and fries at local ice cream stand. And I said it was like the Holy grail Run away.
