NY was my CT neighbor.

3. Born and grew up there (as did my father,)

moved after college; family left too, in '70s. Been a long time.

5. I always play this song before I head up that way.

I have a buddy I met when we were 5 years old. He still lives on LonGiland.. For the last 5 years, I fly into JFK and he picks me up and we then drive to Portland Maine. We have a buddy up there that we have known since 1965. A grand old time is had drinking Peepers ale and cooking seafood. We still have lots in common after 65 years. I don't know about this year with the virus...
Maine also has a two week quarantine for "People from away"...
Billy Joel kinda sorta nails it for me.... Saw him do a live impromptu concert at an antique motorcycle show in Dania Florida... amazing..

7. Lawn Guyland

Heheh. That's how we said it in Southern CT😄

My mom was legal 'secretary' in a 4 attorney firm. Her boss said, 'M', it's Long Island, not Lawn Guyland!"


Hopin' you get to go back up there someday and recapture good times.

6. Was going to NY last year to see a good friend, but 2 head traumas almost killed me.

So, I planned to go there this year in April, but that obviously didn't happen. I still really want to go to NYC and stay for 4-5 days, but don't want to get on an airplane or stay at a hotel until there is a safe vaccine (non-drumpf related) and it's too far to drive.
