I bought a gallon with a few friends. It was $45 for one gallon. That actually is probably way cheaper than purell.

Do a google search for distillery sanitizer.

There is no problem finding bleach in Chicago now.

and it's ok-- there are alternative disinfectant brands I'll check out.

We were looking online at grocers mostly; our ample supplies are about out.

And we got the last bottle of Clorox, online from our Giant grocer here.

I lucked out and scored Cottonelle. Then I was given a refund because 'the box was damaged', then it said there was going to be a delivery on Fri by 8pm. At eight it said they were running late and would be delivered the next day or, in 5 days. If it wasn't delivered ask for a refund or reorder. Even though the item says not available. The seller was someone named Estate 19.

and I don't use the third, I prefer soap and water. Still have most of it, probably because it didn't occur to me to listen to that thing in the White House and try to drink it.

ETA: At least the morons are off toilet paper. Market was flush with Brand X bog rolls in reasonable sizes last week.

only toilet bowl stuff and sponges. Prior to CV, I had several canisters of good wipes but they went fast.

Amazon does sell rubbing alcohol, wherever it's from. Drugstores are out of it and Lysol, Clorox.

A month ago at a 7-11, I spotted 2 large Lysol spray bottles (not the mist); glad I grabbed them but they're all out of disinfectants now too.

The 7-11 actually had their brand hand sanitizer which worked well. Yesterday they were all out of everything.

*I'm trying to do most shopping online or at smaller drug stores, cuz of germs and my schedule. I never liked giant box stores, avoid them like the plague, yuk, yuk!

I’ve found some small amounts locally but if I hadn’t I might consider getting a jug like that. Probably end up using it or sharing with people I know. I think it was $27.95 which isn’t bad. I paid $8 for a 10 oz bottle last week. So I don’t know if the site is legit, just passing it on. Took me 3 months to find any at all. I still have 2 tubes of lysol wipes, that was the only thing I could find in the beginning so got several. Still not seeing masks though I did get a 3-pack a couple weeks ago. It was limit one and sold out immediately. But all that stuff was local supermarkets. I ordered a thermometer online and that took 3 weeks to come. Also got a pulse oximeter and that came surprisingly fast.

I think all that stuff is slowly becoming available you just have to be one of the first to spot it.

I ordered from them some weeks ago. I am usually pretty good at noting shipping costs before placing an order, so I am not quite sure how I missed the **$130.00** "Priority Mail" shipping fee that ended up getting levied for two gallons of hand sanitizer. The shipping fee was more than the price of the products. I figured "Oh well, I was dumb and it's my fault, at least if I get the hand sanitizer, I need it anyway". I received a shipping notice on 3/23, but the product was not even received by the USPS in Ohio until 3/28. That was 5 days after the alleged "ship date", and if it had actually been sent Priority Mail, I would have had the shipment in hand before 3/28. On the USPS site, the shipment never moved past Cleveland. I repeatedly emailed Bulk Apothecary over the space of a month, and it took until May 7 for them to finally give up and refund my money. Fortunately, they did refund everything, including the ridiculous $130.00 shipping charge. I ordered through PayPal, which I believe was helpful in obtaining the refund.

Also, I've read reviews of that hand sanitizing product from people who actually received theirs. From all reports, it smells absolutely vile. I lucked out getting my money back.

You have to know when to shop. For example, a particular store may get those products on Thursday and Saturday nights, so you would want to go there first thing Friday and Sunday morning because they may sell out in a few hours. Ask a manager at your local supermarket when they get the trucks with the items you want.

There is always Ebay, but you will be gouged.

Have tried online for a couple of the chains, "not in stock - e-mail when available." Been told to find out when the deliveries are made to the Dollar stores weekly, then go early the next morning.

Just serendipity, I had had masks (for dust in mowing the yard) and hand sanitizer (in the car, NOW DON'T DO THAT, it 'splodes!1 ) - it's just the 91% am short on. (70% or less not supposed to be good enough.)

post #1 above. I almost bought a bottle of 'industrial 99% isopropyl alcohol' online from Amazon but thought that's very high, and I would have to mix it with aloe vera, etc. to make a hand solution.

I'm looking for regular 70-90% type rubbing alcohol to use at home mostly as a spray, and not to necessarily make hand sanitizer which is out of stock. Bah!
