My Mom, 85, is in hospital, second time this month

First admission, this month, was for severe fatigue, due to anemia likely from her CHF. (I live in another state, so everything I hear is 3rd hand) 3 bags of blood, chest x-ray, labs, fluids.
Wednesdays admit found a bleeding ulcer and a kidney lesion. She had a UGI, scope(?)& a nasal gastric tube placed. I know there was a surgical consult, no more info on that yet. I know she is feeling better this afternoon, she has been fussing, via text to us.

Mom is 85, realistically, her life clock is ticking.

But I admit I feel better since she told me I was nosey a little while ago.

No grandbaby if you are smoking.
Smoking around kids was so common in the past, now, not so much, which is good.

Thanks MFM008

both my parents smoked all the time.
My dad since he was 12.
He died in 2000.
Mom quit in 1995, her smoking still got her last year.

Back when my mom was very ill in 2003 and was hospitalized several times in another city

Glad she sounded perkier to you on the phone!

Best of luck to all of you.

Especially tough on you since you can't be there to be w/ her, hold her hand, and get first-hand info.
