I subscribe to the DVD's on occasion for one month to catch up on the new movies.
It used to take 1-2 day's for the turnaround. The mail is definitely slower.
What have you noticed?

(4,657 posts)I don't understand. DVD's are great. You get the extra's with how the movie was made and backstory. Also, you get new movies.
Where else can you get all that?

(5,640 posts)Just kidding...
I only have the streaming service and gave up on DVD's from them when they raised the prices.

El Supremo
(20,365 posts)than it did last year. I don't know why but suspect it mostly is due to DVD.com (their new name).
I still use it because there are many times more titles available. But unfortunately, I have three in my queue who's availability are unknown.
mysteryowl
(7,376 posts)I did not know of the new name.
Yes, I have a few in unavailable queue as well. In that case, I can try RedBox.
Big Blue Marble
(5,067 posts)Yes, I still use DVD's. There are many films that are only available on DVD.
Foreign films, for example. Saturday watched a good French film: The Guardians.
Most new releases are available within several months as well as older films to rewatch.
I stream from Netflix and Amazon Prime as well. But the DVD's definitely give us more choice.
Do not be intimated by those trying to shame us.
