Away. An interesting trip to Mars, real astronauts in space, episodic series on Netflix.
It's a different kind of mission to Mars story that keeps everyone connected to Earth through their personal stories. Hilary Swank is the lead star, but all characters are strong. There are some necessary technological advances that are used to allow communication between the astronauts and their family members, but there is plenty going on in the space ship to remember that this is a three year mission to Mars.
