I think I get about 15 requests for money each day. Some from candidates I've never heard of.

I guess I could give $1 every time they ask for $1... but it starts to get annoying.

Anybody feelin' me?

1. Not just requests ...

But requests from liberal organizations that I've never heard of and just wonder if they're scams.

But that's the problem with public records of donations. Your name gets top priority from others wanting donations too.

I'd rather deal with the fallout than make the donation records secret.

2. Oh yea. I was just on the phone with my son and counted all the emails.

I had already deleted the morning batch and had counted 12 from this morning.

Added another 14 to the count this afternoon.

That is what I get for giving to a bunch of different groups in small amounts.

3. Wouldn't it be nice to live in a country where you are not expected to pay for candidates?

4. I get them too. I give what I can afford, especially to Dems running...

against the most vile repugs like Moscow Mitch, Graham, Collins—the worse ones. And of course to Biden against orange anus.

5. Yes, I gave a lot in the beginning to many different candidates and Dem organizations, but

now it's just getting kind of tiresome. Also, I just can't afford to keep it up.

6. When I have sent money to a candidate, I used a money order,

made sure that my signature was unreadable, and did not put my return address on the envelope. I send my limited funds to who I want and do not want to be hounded.

8. Yes, and it's going to get worse for a while.

I only do what I can and delete the rest.

9. I think I have gotten $$ requests from every Democratic candidate for Senator

in this cycle. The safe seats get nothing from me. The toss-ups, and the ones with the most obnoxious GOPher opponents have pretty much all gotten at least one donation. But--damn, the sheer number of the requests I've gotten, from not just the candidates, but the PACS and party campaign committees, just boggles my mind! After the election, I'm taking the next year off from donating.

been getting tons of them, lots of them with the "OMG WE'RE LOSING EVERYWHERE! SEND MONEY NOW!" theme.

'Tis the season. I just delete them.

I give where and when I can.
