Oh boy! I'm in trouble now!

I just a phone call from a female robot voice calling herself "officer Mary Reed from the Department of Social Security Administration," and I just hung up on her! Do you suppose they'll send the U.S. marshals out to arrest me? I'm so scared I might shake a little. Maybe after dinner. If I have nothing better to do.

If a robot from the "Department of Social Security Administration" calls you, you'd better not hang up or you'll be in big trouble too.

explaining all the terrible things that would happen if she didn't return the call. The message ended with "Have a nice day." She and I were just when we heard that.

Sadly, a relative of mine received this same call several months ago and he panicked an entire day. We finally got him to call his local Social Security office and they advised him that this is a common scam and not to worry.

A year ago, I got a call from a person saying that I still owed $1,000 for our 2017 taxes and if I didn't pay immediately over the phone he was authorized to have the police come to my door and arrest me. He was verbally abusive and gave me an elaborate case number and reference number. Idiot......

It is crazy.

From "officer Sarah Schultz" this time. That's two calls in the span of two hours. They must think I'm as dumb as a Republican to fall for their BS.

Ask her out for some coffee? Maybe dinner and drinks in a week or so? Take it slow, that's my advice.

on edit: Maybe Mary Reed and Sarah Schultz are sisters? careful there.

They can't afford to send the phone police after you.

Local exchange number, too. The scammers are getting a lot more sophisticated.
