I want to have a pet crow. Some hang out in the trees around the garden when we are out there taking care of the gifts the garden is giving us.
We talk all the time (crows and me) they caw at me and I back at them. One is getting to know us enough to come closer, when I mock caw at Bud...she/he makes a sound like chuckling that I take as laughter. I sometimes leave something for Bud, a single button, paper clips, corn or some other snack. Leave them on a fence pole and they disappear.
Small price for such great company.

And the overgrown field (not ours) behind us for the past couple days. Can't smell anything dead. They're roosting in our woods at night. The dogs are incensed.

But it annoys me when people drive with animals on their lap. In an accident, the air bag can kill an animal quickly. The animal can be crushed between the person and the steering wheel. So scary.
