One Year To Medicare!

Turned 64 today.
I share a birthday with Springsteen, Jason Alexander, Augustus Caesar, & Ray Charles, among others.
So, 342 days from now, I can drop the individual health coverage. The $1,100 a month savings means a nice new car next fall.
Ragtop, of course. GAC doesn't drive cars with a hard roof!
And no, PINO isn't going to kill Medicare. Rand Paul & Gym Jordan are the only tools who would be dumb enough to touch the third rail.
Played 27 holes today and my wife & I made 2 pan pizzas.
And the weather was fantastic.
Normally, I'm not big on birthdays, but today was good!

If Twitler gets a second term, I would expect it to go bye-bye, along with Social Security and the ACA.

Don't fear the bluster.
To do what it claims, requires a congressional action. An attempt to do it by EO will be met by a new law, passed by veto proof margins, that specifically takes that power away from the executive.
It's just noise for the radical right $ folks.
They're not really going to do it.
Besides, I think PINO is toast.

Same one my wife has, so we know the price.
The $1,100 is the delta!
I go from $1,405 to $300, including the deduction from SocSec I could go silver advantage & it goes to $205, but the peace of mind of having a Ferrari policy might be worth $95. Not sure, yet.
The current costs are easily covered, now. (I retired very comfortably.). That $1,100 is a net gain, everything included.

I am getting conflicting information from my past employer over what happens to my coverage when Medicare kicks in.

I need to do more independent research.

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

...and provides secondary coverage, dental, and vision. When I hear people suggest that Medicare is gov'ment death panels and such, I respond "Wait until you're eligible and then tell me you won't accept Medicare." No more out-of-pocket health care payroll deductions, no more out-of-network charges, and no more letting insurance companies decide how doctors can provide services. I don't know ANYONE on medicare who wishes they could go back to using private insurance. Indeed, they can if they want. Nobody does unless they are independently wealthy and have a hospital wing named for them acknowledging their generous donations over the years.

My wife put more Italian sausage than I did, and more mozzarella.
I had less sausage but added pepperoni and mixed mozzarella & parmesano. Then I placed very thinly sliced tomatoes on top about 5 minutes before it was done cooking.
So, we had 2 slightly different pizzas. We season differently too.
I added a pinch of sugar to the sauce, more garlic, and crushed red pepper. She had oregano and more basil in her's.
So, it was really 2 pan pizzas. Both tasty, but different. It was fun!
We finished it off today. Good, but was better yesterday

The $1,100 is the net gain after supplemental coverage.
And frankly, I could but pretty much any car below $60,000 now. I'm just too frugal on big purchases.
But, an extra $1,100 per month will eradicate my hesitancy.
