My gym had my membership on freeze, but today they told me that I would have to pay $30 to keep it on freeze.

Screw that. Goodbye.

My gym just emailed that they’d be open on Sept 28.

I’m not going back either. I miss the pool; I can do everything else at home.

I think that my gym may charge me. I don't know if that's fair.

Social distancing, masks, frequent cleaning, etc etc etc. I went in one time to talk about billing, looked around, and said I'm never going back. Not that the staff weren't trying, and some were actively cleaning, and the place wasn't even all that packed. But I'm looking at all these grunting weightlifters and perspiring runners breathing hard and I just can't do it. Have to break out the Christie Brinkley Chuck Norris device stashed in the basement somewhere, it's boring but it helps!

I haven't been back since. My gym is part of a hospital system, and I'm sure with infectious disease physicians breathing down their neck, they are going all out on keeping it clean. It was already the cleanest gym I'd ever been in, and I've been in a lot of them. I bought equipment for use at home and that does the trick. They sent me a renewal form and I wrote back that I'll not be coming back til this is passed. I miss it, too, and will especially during the fall. They have a third floor jogging track with windows along one whole side. Outside of those windows is a row of big old oaks. So beautiful to go for a run up there with all those beautiful colors.

to get a new debit card, L.A. Fitness just would not stop taking money out after phone calls, emails. Going to a gym is not a wise thing to do these days.
