since her days with the Carolina Chocolate Drops.

She is an amazing talent. I had planned to see the premiere of the opera she had written for the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC last May. Another cancellation because of Covid. I've seen her in concert several times in the last decade and she is really terrific. Unique voice.
