Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThere is a bunny living in my Forsythia thicket in my yard.
I've seen it go in and out several times and there is one spot where it likes to lay. It ventures out sometimes when I'm on the porch and doesn't run when I move or speak to it. Yesterday, I was doing a little yard cleanup and it came out and hopped around within 10 feet.
There are other bunnies in the yard from time to time, but this one has become a regular. I'm going to start putting out some fruit and veggie scraps to see what happens.

(20,435 posts)We have some possums and raccoons that come by frequently, and then, of course, the neighborhood squirrels. Random lizards, mice, and various crawlies. A neighbor used to have some domestic rabbits that would roam the area in the evenings. We enjoy watching them all.
But no wild rabbits!

(31,484 posts)the young possums out. They are excellent climbers. Sent a picture to my sister. She said I had ugly birds.
The squirrels have been too busy stripping the pecan tree to bother with the bird feeders right now. I put out some corn and peanuts for them.
I saw the skunk a few days ago ducking under the fence across the street, but I haven't seen one in the yard for several months.

birds, and other things. BTW if you have a garden you do not want to encourage rabbits.

(8,049 posts)in addition to all my garden goodies, of course. They do the same thing--hop right up to me and wait for me to put a little on the ground. I greet them every morning. I have tried giving them the occasional offerings of produce that were getting old in my fridge, but they never ate it that I saw.

(4,147 posts)and eat our bird seed and it looks like the dead leaves from our oleanders. We live in the suburbs with some woods nearby and our house backs up to a high school, but the quiet part where the baseball fields are, so lots of green space for them to run around. I also put out old produce, apple cores and the like for them and they eat them. Sometimes we'll have a half a bag of small potatoes or mini carrots that go south and I put them out and something eats them all overnight, so I guess we have more critters around than just the rabbits.
We don't know if the one that comes every day is male or female so we named it Pat ("It's Pat!" . The cats all crowd by the windows when Pat comes around, we call it PatTV

(8,049 posts)I often have trouble telling which regular bunny customer is which, never sure who I'm dealing with from day to day. Yep, my kitties (indoor only) do like seeing them out there too.

(31,671 posts)If I see one out when Its time to let my dog out, I will gently shoo it back into its forsythia haven before I let Sophie out, or else shell chase it.
