Huge dogs with kittens, cars with birds? Always scares me.

and let my big black cat check them out.They followed him everywhere, in the house, and cuddled up with him, followed him outside around the property.
I have pics of him lying on my bed with chicks standing on him. None of the dogs bothered them or
bothered the chickens. Actually they gave all the chickens a wide berth because mama hens tore after any of the fur kids who got too close to the chicks.

If you know your pet, and are willing to make a gentle introduction, it usually works out.
With the cats, the chicks/ducklings were never around him unless I was there.
When they got bigger, and were outside, there was no problem, they could defend themselves if they had to.
