a friend and I took acid and went to see it when it was re-released to theaters in the early 90's. we just about totally lost it when the ballerina hippos scene started! luckily there were only a few others in the theater at the time and most of them were altered as well. afterwards, we went to a Masonic cemetery full of giant obelisks and statues, clear star filled sky- i can remember a lot of the night perfectly clearly. grokked the fuck out of the universe on that trip!
