I'm apparently getting a puppy
A Christmas puppy, at that.
Dh and I have raised our rescue pup for the last year and a half. We debated getting a littermate when we adopted him but decided that was biting off more than we could chew 
We did just finish our last round of training with a trainer, and pup is as trained as he will ever be, which is pretty damned well.
So now, as Dh inches closer to retirement and we are at home for the rest of our careers...
It’s time to get another pup! We will be checking out the pup this weekend. Can’t pick up until right before Christmas.

I think two doggos are better than one. I waited way too long to get a companion for my 12-year-old pup. When I finally got a new puppy, my older dog started acting like a puppy again, too. They love each other and offer something I can't give because I'm a "hooman."
