(2,747 posts)And probably more!We were at a Christmas party when the boyfriend of my girlfriend's friend asked me to take us for a ride. All of us were drunk!
It was a Mustang 5.0 that was built. I liked that kind of thing when I was in my twenties, and made it as fast as street possible. It terrifies me what I could have done that night while showing out.

(1,200 posts)Before kayaking. In the keys. Tide and wind same direction. Highest winds of month. Went out with it all to our backs. Turned around, & it was a wall. Had to be rescued.
To be fair my friend planned it, she was getting into thinking she wanted to be a guide.
However my boyfriend @ time was a diver for a living, and once i got home, he was incredulous I had not paid attention to his own preparations. every. day. What a dumb maneuver that was!
And i grew up boating on lake Michigan! Large lapse in judgment.

Completely collapsed my knee on a snow day when hardly anyone was at the mountain. Luckily, they were able to round up some ski patrol after about 30 minutes of me lying there in agony. Could not get home due to the blizzard and had to stay with friends in this charming little mountain town where we drank our faces off.
Surgery later ensued. Won't do that again.

I did train for it, and I was paid for it, but I'll never do it again

(14,846 posts)... a news story about the racist mass shooting in El Paso TX.
I live in the Dayton OH area and a shooting happened here on the same night.
So after the local shooting was "breaking news" on TV here, but before it was covered nationally or even found online, I went to a very active comments section regarding the shootings in El Paso and pretended to be a Trump cultist with insider information about our "next target" in Dayton.
The only good news about my embarrassing experiment is that everyone who replied to me was furious after it hit the national news, and there was nobody celebrating my supposed MAGA terrorist activities.
I later deleted the deceptive comments, but there's probably a few people around the country who are still convinced that the shootings were related and part of wider MAGA-based conspiracy since I "predicted" the later shootings.
