Mine:
1) Bidens victory giving an otherwise awful year some redemption. I bet this will be on a lot of lists!
2) My mom. We take take care of each other and are very close.
3) My health. No major problems that I know of. So far no signs of COVID.

(1,849 posts)I'm especially thankful for:
1) my sharp mind, functioning body, and sensitive spirit (which I consider blessings)
I'm thankful I've remained healthy during the pandemic.
2) my friends (a few of whom are my cousins) and community, both before and during Covid, which brought about some deeper or renewed connections. I'm thankful that several have survived Covid, although one has had serious complications as a result she's doing ok.
3) my part-time job at an old respected business, including my bosses (a married couple, civic minded Democrats). They sent me on paid leave a week before being ordered to close, and paid me for the entire time we were in lockdown, without them getting any government assistance.
I'm so thankful for that.

That about covers it. I have relatives who are disappointed that I don't trust anybody enough to go have TG or anything else with them, but I trust they will still love me when this is over.

A blessing on your house and all who abide there.

(11,904 posts)1) My family (husband, daughter, son, and I include his girlfriend)
2) Our jobs (both hubby and I still have our IT jobs. They've survived through the first cuts, the early retirement offerings, and the latest layoffs. Not sure if they will last through spring semester or not. It may depend on if they can bring more students back to campus.)
3) Biden/Harris (I don't think that anyone else would be better positioned and have the institutional knowledge to handle the "Building back better" or the compassion and empathy to support the diversity of American people than Joe. Harris is great in her own areas, but she is relatively new to DC and will be able to learn a lot from Joe about the inner workings of the govt and about our international role. She's a great person for Joe to pass his wealth of institutional knowledge to).
