(27,802 posts)I had my first one on Saturday, mild side effects on Monday, feel really good today. Keep us posted re side effects - I'm curious about what to expect. I had a sore arm the first day, and then yesterday had a (really brief) headache, a few chills, and a little bit of gastric issues, along with some fatigue. None of it was debilitating.
The experience was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone was in a good mood, it was amazingly well organized, and the medical personnel were kind and professional.

(16,935 posts)I had a sore arm the first shot. I put muscle rub on my arm above the shot site, and that helped a lot. No other side effects. Some friends and relatives had side effects, some didn't.
Kind of funny story, I told my daughter in the last week, my dreams changed. I usually dream as if I'm viewing a screen. Last week, I saw portrait views at the top of my view, with lines pointing down to the dream when the people were active. My daughter didn't miss a beat, and said, "Uh-oh the vaccine is messing with your brain!" Lol We like sarcasm around here

over things.
I had a dream a couple of days ahead of time where I just couldn't get a work project correct, and I wanted to go back to sleep to fix it. I had to struggle to wake up. In the dream, I thought I had done everything right but it came out wrong anyway.

(16,935 posts)I read that you can direct your dreams to have outcomes, such as solving the problem, or making the events less scary. I've had some luck, so at least I don't scare myself

(31,515 posts)Most reactions I've heard about were very mild, if they felt anything at all. I never felt terrible, but I did feel a little feverish and very tired. I just kicked back, drank plenty of fluids, took an occasional aspirin and napped when I felt like it. Nothing dampened my feeling of relief at having it done.

(16,935 posts)bought some soup I know what you mean-the relief is the best side effect
I was making sure I got plenty of Vitamin D and C the last year. And I'm drinking lotsof water so far today. Thanks for the tips!

(16,935 posts)Except for a sore arm, which isn't as bad as the 1st shot, I think I am home free Hope everyone else is doing as well!
Marthe48
(16,935 posts)I didn't having any other side effects and my arm is about better.
I got to go keep an eye on my granddaughter today. I was going to go let the grand dog out, but the girl was home from school, not feeling well. I am waiting till next week to plunge in and go in the house, but even just sitting in the car, securing the perimeter, was great!
I hope everyone else is doing fine

(16,935 posts)My best friend, and I got our 2nd dose. Except for sore arms, we did fine. My friend had a transplant a couple years ago, and I was worried about her reaction to the shot, but she did great.
If you can do it, have your chores caught up, and some food made up to eat. You might not need to, but it is nice just in case. Be sure to let us know how you do
