are all known for their love of playing fetch. Bengals often have some Aby and/or Mau ancestry since those two breeds were used in crossing with Bengals to domesticate them enough to be pets.

They tended to prefer the chase more than the dogs, wasting less time gnawing on the items and whatnot.

He sometimes runs back bare pawed cause he's so excited he forgets to bring the ball back with him.
But most the time he brings back the ball.

were torties that would chase and retrieve cellophane (cigarette wrappers) from underneath cabinets, beds, refrigerators, sofas, and other spots including deep trash cans, barrels, and other deep spaces inside the various homes I've lived in. This tuxie is a champ. And tuxies really ROCK!!!

she had one of those little colorful mouse-looking toys and when I would cat-sit, I would chuck it across the room and she would go leaping across the floor and under a table to find it and it bring it back, and I'd toss it again. She was honing her "hunting ("chasing" ) skills".

She was able to entertain herself and "practice" her "skillz". She would also creep up on it wherever she flung it, and then pounce on it and wrestle the tiny (fake) thing to the ground.

My other sister used to have a himmy who would spot a spider on the rug and would start "playing" with it. She would put her paw down on it and then lift it to see if was still moving, and then put her paw back down on it if it was moving.

I wish I could film her when she does this, but as you know, cats are so unpredictable it would be nearly impossible to predict when they’re going to go into their playful mood! 😻

...when they feel like it. They will show up with a toy when they want to play, and drop it on the floor somewhere near us. The female tuxie likes the toy thrown down the basement stairs, and the make tabby prefers things thrown into the foyer.

When the tuxie brings a toy, she has a very different meow while carrying the item in her mouth. I can always tell from afar when she has a toy in her mouth.
