Wish the video hadn't ended there. It seems a bit small to be a bobcat, just a regular cat the man threw and terrified.

it jumped on the woman between the cars, he probably grabbed it off her and realized it was a bobcat and chucked it. I bet the woman has some wounds. it looked like it wanted to go after whatever was in the pet carrier.

yes, handling a likely-rabid animal is stupid but what real choice did he have here?

Screaming and running around is pure stupidity. Just get everybody in the damn car or in the house. What parent would allow a child to run after it? Unless it had rabies it was just as scared as the idiot flipping out and more than likely run off on its own. What a moron.

The woman was walking out with a pet carrier. The Bobcat (?) squealed and then attacked her from behind and hung on to her. The woman (his wife) screamed and started running down the driveway. The man at that point ran over to Her and pulled the Bobcat off her. She turned around and ran back in the house with the pet carrier. He ran across the lawn and threw it. But it turned around and ran back toward the cars. The woman in the street is running toward him and he yells that the Bobcat attacked my wife. It ends.

Stupid people? Imagine being totally unaware in your own driveway, and being surprised by a bobcat that is attacking your spouse. Did you hear that thing? That was no domestic cat. And far from being discouraged after being thrown, he was right back after it.

SMDH.

similarly if a wild cat attacked them. Then after the fact, there is the concern about rabies.

I have never seen a bobcat and hope I never encounter one. I love domestic pet cats and have one. But I am very aware of how dangerous an attacking cat can be, whether domestic or wild. They are quick, lithe, intelligent kill machines, regardless of size.

How unfortunate!

My cat was feral when she walked up my driveway. Yes, it took months, but she is now a full blown lovable cat.

Rabies are 100 % lethal if untreated. It certainly wasn't going to become a lovable domestic cat.
