Sportscaster Joe Buck will guest-host 'Jeopardy!' this summer, per report

Fox Sports play-by-play announcer Joe Buck will join the likes of Aaron Rodgers as he will guest-host "Jeopardy!" later this year. The news was first reported by the New York Post.

The episodes, which are expected to air during the summer, will put the 51-year-old in the mix for the permanent hosting job. There are no reports on how many episodes Buck will host, but typically guests will host one or two weeks worth of shows.

Buck will one of many guests host that have filled in for the show since the passing of Alex Trebek in November 2020. The news comes after Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hosted the show the past two weeks, his last episode airing Friday night. Previous guest host include former champion Ken Jennings, executive producer Mike Richards, journalist Katie Couric and Dr. Mehmet Oz.

The next round of guests hosts will include, in order, CNN's Anderson Cooper, CBS News' Bill Whitaker, actress Mayim Bialik, NBC's Savannah Guthrie and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Guthrie's episodes will air from June 14-25, with Gupta's episode dates not yet announced.
