Taking a red eye to Hartford CT from LAX

2. Flew out west for graduations

My best friend's younger daughter graduated. Straight A's to struggle with virtual school. South Orange County. Good to travel again.

Southwest arbitrarily changed my flight from Greenville to Atlanta to LAX to include Dallas. Not sure what Texas had to do with my trip back home, but each flight was 80% or more full. Lots of folks making similar complaints about changes. Same for return flight--changed three hours and added a stop. I'm not willing to make two plane changes anymore even if I am sympathetic to filling planes.

Everyone was masked in the terminal, and on the plane. They were very clear about "actively eating or drinking" and mask over mouth and nose. No trouble anywhere.

Re-entry is an adjustment.

3. frequent flyer here....in the olden days....

hope your flight is relaxed and happy. I flew about a month ago and it was kind of weird, but ultimately, ok...

... nearly everyone there is still masking in public, despite their very high vaccination rates compared to most of the country.

Doubt that it's changed much in the few days since she shared that experience from a grocery store and elsewhere.
