I agree - it's a very indirect way to give credit to the content originator. Good analogy to Walmart TheRickles Jul 2021 #11

But I don't feel great about promoting them.

Another example of someone with money, this time the daughter and ex staffers of the Huffington Post, appropriating content from others, who will never get credit, and repackage it, with music etc..slap their name on it, with a click bait title, produce it down into nice bite size 3 min pieces for consumer consumption.

They are all but monopolizing the cute animal market by stealing content. And also taking away any reason for the public to help with likes or whatever, the folks that made the original videos....If they've already seen it in a Dodo video.

I don't know, I still don't like the overall concept. I like the spirit of the old YouTube, where you searched and found the original videos. Even if it was based on a bit of luck. Now no doubt the Dodo-ized version will come up first. And how many viewers will then read down and further explore after they've been satiated by watching what they came to watch?

If you have enough of a startup fund, and full time marketeers, editors etc..you can just use others content, repackaged, and make money on it. Kind of reminds me of a big Walmart coming into a small town. "We have everything that those smaller stores have, but you don't have to go from door to door to get it all"

like the comfortable cuddling up to a furry mama or litter mate fron kittenhood. When I first got my cat at 9 weeks old, she had started eating dry food but, as the last one in her litter, was also still nursing when she wanted to.

In my apartment, away from her mama for the first time in her life, whenever I lay down for a nap or went to bed at night, she sought out my hair and tried to suckle my ear lobe. Clean skin surrounded by "fur." It felt right to her, I guess. My hair was long so when I gently moved her mouth off of my earlobe, she started sucking my neck instead. I was getting kitty hickies!

She missed her mama. I kept moving her gently away and substituting petting for her to feel secure and loved.

Even today, at 5 years old, she likes to bury her face in my hair and get petted when I go to bed at night.
