Which in Costa Rica is a rare thing.

3. Not so healthy but.... yum.

They use sweet and sour sauce for ketchup. 🤭

4. Are there any McDonalds or Wendy's, etc. in Costa Rica?

5. There are in Liberia (1hr15m away) and San Jose 3 hrs away.

They have just about all of them. But they are usually very different than US.
Subway about the same.
Pizza Hut has no salad bar
We haven’t tried any other except KFC
Which you wouldn’t recognize.
No original recipe, no coleslaw, no mashed taters. Fries and crispy only.

However, in Tilaran (25 minutes) we have only a “Twenty”. Which I never heard of in US. Have reasonably good burgers and good fries and chicken sandwiches.

One good Chinese restaurant there too

Everyone sells pizza. It’s the second fav national food

6. I think most of the world likes pizza

I thought I read somewhere that pizza is the fav food in Europe, especially Scandinavia.

I remember the character Lisbeth Salander virtually lived on pizza in the “Dragon Tattoo” books

No cole slaw at KFC? Wow. I cannot have KFC without their coleslaw!

7. I know, coleslaw!!!! And only fries

We used to go to KFC because there were no fries

But Costa Rica has great fries.
