He found me reading on my deck and motioned me toward his bowl on the back steps, so I gave him a couple cans of Fancy Feast. After he hoovered up all the Fancy Feast he indicated to me that he was still hungry, so I brought out some pulled rotisserie chicken and put a few pieces in his bowl. When he'd eaten that, I offered him another piece, and he reached out his paw and snagged it from my hand! He's letting me get closer and closer, as long as I have food for him.

I tried mixing the dry food they decided they DON'T like, in with what they do. So they eat around it. In fact the ONLY way I can get them to eat the healthier dry food is to put it in the wet/dry mix.
I'll be worrying about them, tonight. There are strong storms in the forecast.

Have you tried offering them rotisserie chicken? If I can spoil my stray cat, so can you.

(26,248 posts)Ok, rotisserie chicken just sounds good. I have a couple of chickens in the freezer but it's too hot to roast one so maybe I'll just go the easier route.
I feed Sophie Stinky Toes shredded chicken thigh meat, every morning, along with her dry food. She gets wet food at night. I could try putting a little of that out for them. Kroger has thighs and drumsticks on sale, right now, for .99/lb. I'm thinking I should maybe stock up.
