WTF happened to accurate sizing? I've worn the same size Levi's 505s for two decades. Scored

two pair last week at Costco. Tried them on yesterday prior to washing and found that one pair was too small to button and the other about an inch and a half too large in the waist. There’ll be no problem returning them but it is a pain in the posterior! 🤬

I have two pairs of khaki shorts. One is 38" waist, the other 42". They are exactly the same. brewens Aug 2021 #1

I lost a lot of weight the last couple years and have been wearing clothes I've had stashed for decades. I have some jeans that are off too, but not as bad. One pair of 38" I fit in just fine, the other, not even close.

I went on WW and it's working and I'm down 22 lbs. and have raided my closet for smaller sized clothes. I've been aggressively shrinking my old size clothes so I had something that fit, but now they are just too big and look terrible on me, if they even stay up. I'm actually breaking down and going and getting a couple of critical pieces, but found enough I'd stashed away that I don't have to buy a lot. Sometimes being a bit of a pack rat pays off. Having double shelves in all closets helps too!

If they needed one or more size 36's they just attached the 36 tag/label to a 34 or a 38.

Simple.

So I broke down and bought some items 2 sizes larger
than I usually wear, because I had to have SOMETHING to wear right now. So I have 3 sizes if stuff in my closet. Have lost 8 pounds in a month so far, 20 or so to go.

I don't know if this is applicable to all jean brands, but some years ago I purchased 3 pairs of jeans at Old Navy. I lost some weight and wasn't sure what my size was. I tried on a certain size in the dressing room, and sat down and the waist was squeezing my belly. I got 3 more more jeans in the next size up and sat down. These were a better fit while sitting so I purchased them.

After I washed and dried them and they were practically falling off me. I took the jeans and the receipt back to the store and let the cashier know what happened. She allowed me to replace all 3 jeans in the size that I originally tried on. They never squeezed my waist after washing and drying them.

*I always sit down when trying on any pants to make sure that I have enough room in the waist area and to make sure that the length doesn't ride up exposing the ankle area.

If they are, it's an incorrect inseam length. Capris or cropped would be a different story.

I'm not sure what your point of trying to ridicule me was, but it's definitely noted.

Are the best jeans I have. Soft denim and good fit and hard to find that aren’t full of stretch material. Mine are years old and I have one size 6 and one size 8. Both fit so I don’t know why except maybe where they were manufactured.

They were by different manufacturers, and the styles were a bit different, but one was a size 10 and the other was a size 6. Both fit me perfectly. This is why I don't usually shop for clothes on line unless they are something like sweat pants.

and they were all the same size and all fit pretty consistently. This year I had to replace them and due to COVID the fitting rooms were closed at Macy's. I thought, no problem, I'll buy 4 more in the same size as last time. 2 fit like the old ones did and 2 are much tighter in the waist. Not enough to think about exchanging them, but why don't all 4 fit exactly the same when they are the exact same design of shorts just in different colors?

Regardless of what the tag says, he measures the pants he wants and buys what he will fit in by those measurements. He has at least five different "sizes" of pants!
