Taken by my niece. I just can't get over how much he's changed in just a week. Well, they all have. Amazing.

(26,177 posts)It is so much fun to watch them developing from little shy, scared little bumblers to happy, confident and VERY fast little kittens.

(6,546 posts)And she was so small, we said she had to grow into her ears. She's 2 now & she still has large ears, but it makes her cute. She's gray, has big ears & a long tail, & she likes to jump, she'll jump onto anything, so we say she's part roo (kangaroo).

Sorry not to embed it directly. I used to be able to from Imgur but they've changed their functionality. Either that or I got stupider.

(26,177 posts)Although I noticed, today, that they hardly look like kittens, anymore. I don't know that they can ever really be habituated but hopefully we can TNR them and they can come by and eat for as long as they like.

(8,188 posts)One even has a pressure-activated heating pad. I don't know what part of the country you live in, but I live in the Northeast so they appreciate the shelters. They can be happy even as ferals so long as someone is feeding them and they're neutered. And they'll probably get more acclimated to you over time.
Siwsan
(26,177 posts)A really nice, insulated shelter would be a good thing for the ferals. As of now, they are living somewhere at my next door neighbor's - I think there's an old ground hog den beneath the shrubs.

(127,316 posts)Yeah Imgur has that new kind of view although you can right-click on the image and open the image directly in a new tab or window and then copy that URL and paste.

(26,177 posts)She was about 6 months old. Unfortunately, she was never nurtured by the drug addict who owned her. She was rescued from complete squalor and ended up with me. As a result of her early life, she's not a particularly 'snuggly' cat and is VERY choosy about who she lets close to her.
But she's stretched out next to me, purring away while getting scritches and giving me the occasional lick on the hand. She was my constant companion through almost a year of near complete self isolation.
Right now she's not too sure about these little invaders but I think she'll accept her new little brother. Hopefully I'm doing all of the right things for him and his siblings to be trusting, affectionate, confident cats.
