Lipton loves us. When I want something different I go with ice water with lemon or lime. Over the past few years I have come to the conclusion that commercial soft drinks are just way too sweet. (kinda like me)

put it in the refrigerator. Makes lovely unsweetened tea and is not bitter. Sometimes tea brewed with boiling water acquires a bitter taste.

Growing up, sweet tea was what you got, in homes, eating out, where ever.
My granny's tea was as dark as coffee; she sweetened it when it was still hot then added more water. It was just the best! She never had enough when her grandkids were around. It took me a long time to wean myself from sweet tea.

I once offered iced tea to a couple who insisted they did not care for it. One of our other guests (a Texan) insisted they try it and they loved it. Of course they had never had "The House Wine of the South", they were from Pennsylvania.
