It's called Senjutsu. Eddie's dressed as a Samurai on the cover. It has 10 tracks, three of which are over 10 minutes long and two more over 8 minutes. There are a couple under 5 minutes, so it should get some radio airplay.
Strangely enough, I checked Maiden's upcoming concert schedule (no new dates until Summer 2022) and they're still booking Legacy of the Beast dates, not Senjutsu dates.

(10,972 posts)I saw something similar w Dream Theater - the upcoming tour dates were still listed for the last album, but they have a new album out the week before the tour kicks off.
Or maybe (I hope not) Maiden is giving up on promoting new material and will just be a greatest hits band. I doubt this will happen since they have been alternating between new material and hits tours for about 20 years now.

(10,972 posts)These are probably all rescheduled from 2020 and wouldve been the final Legacy dates. I saw the tour in late 2019, so I can see summer festivals in Europe wrapping it up.

Maybe they didn't get all the use out of the set pieces for the Legacy tour because of covid lol. It's hard to mothball a life-sized dive bombing airplane just because you got a new album coming out...
I like that they have a bunch of long songs - those are generally my favorite ones

(50,528 posts)Aces High would be a hell of an opener for any concert.
When I saw them at the Tacoma Dome, Bruce had a story about the Spitfire...they met with the record company's finance department to get the funding for the Legacy tour and started explaining the acts. "We're going to play Aces High and display a full-size model of an RAF Spitfire dive-bombing the stage." The accountants were impressed: "We love it! That's going to be the greatest finale to any rock concert in history!" "No mate. Aces High is the first song in the set."
