It's "Empty the Shelter" week for us. We're full up. We have a lot of pitties, some real sweet ones. They're such big goofballs. Kinda noisy, some of them anyway. Also a couple of German Shepherds. One of those guys is gorgeous. He doesn't have the plantigrade gait like a show dog, thank goodness, but he is really pretty in motion. I love watching him move. Shepherds have to go to the right family, though; not everyone is suited to them.

The one I worry about is our big guy, Kane. They have him listed as a Cane Corso, but I don't know. He looks like a mastiff to me, at least mostly. Some kind of Molossian, anyway. He's one of those big guys who looks scary, but everyone says he's a gentle giant. I haven't walked him because I no longer walk dogs. He barked at me, just a couple of basso profundo woofs to let me know he saw me, but that was all, didn't come up to his kennel gate or adopt a scary manner or anything. He will definitely need the right human. I estimated his weight at somewhere in the neighborhood of 140 lbs.
