I feel so bad for the mom, Bunma, she is so malnourished and so stressed out when they were rescued last week. She was constantly swaying and pacing a week ago and couldn't produce enough milk for baby Chaba. She seems much better emotionally and she is able to feed little Chaba on her own now. So happy they are getting such a warm welcome from Pyi Mai's family.

(34,174 posts)Sometimes finding these snippets of joy are the only things that get me through the day. I'm glad you enjoy them, too.
Me.
(35,454 posts)But while humans might offer a hug, elephants have an approach all their own: they reach out and touch their trunk to the other elephant's genitals, put their trunks in the other elephant's mouth, or make a high-pitched noise.
