... but I just want to throw in that I once had diced tomatoes in a fruit salad. They were wonderful!

I never would have made a fruit salad with tomatoes but that's how my friend made it, and I ate it to be nice. The fresh plum tomatoes add a slightly salty flavor (without added salt) that is remarkable.

Something to be considered. And yet ... your meme is still clever and thought-provoking. Thanks!

used to put mayonnaise on almost everything including lots of fruits and veggies!

We were very close and lived with each other off and on throughout our lives (she passed when I was 29 while she was living with me and my son).

She cooked for me and she'd put mayonnaise on tomatoes (with lots of salt, of course), mayonnaise on canned peaches and pears, even mayonnaise on asparagus....Yum, yum....
