Smokie, of course, was playing it 'cool' and patty pawed my leg, asking for a scritch.
The morning energy of kittens is astonishing!! Their food disappears in a flash. I give them a quick clean up, put them back in the newly cleaned play pen, where that they IMMEDIATELY make another mess, so I can wash their dishes and take a breath.
Then it's on to the couch for play time. Now I'm hoping they sleep, for a bit. I have to go on an early morning run for a little more kitten milk. Maybe the last I'll need because the weaning has begun. The vet said I could try giving them a little bit of dry food so I'll probably pick up a small bag and see how it goes. Given their appetite, I'm not worried I'll be wasting money. I will soften it, a bit.
Pictures coming later today. Right now I need to tame my bed head hair so I can leave the house without frightening people.

(12,463 posts)When a kitty crawls up my shirt. That furry, purry feeling of a sweet
kitten or cat laying against me on my skin is a wonderful feeling.
I tolerate the kneading on my skin for as long as I can because the feeling of being loved by said kittens or cat is overwhelming.

(7,595 posts)I'm sure the kittens will be nibbling on dry food in no time. They're growing up so fast.
