Ok, a few months ago we received an invitation to a high school graduation celebration....

It was from a cousin of my husband that we haven’t seen in years……we used to get Christmas cards from them and I would send them my hand made Valentines. About 5 years ago they quit sending Christmas cards, so they came off my Valentines card list. We were kinda surprised we even received an invite to this graduation get together. We had other plans on the day so we sent a card with a $50 bill enclosed. The get together was for July 15th……..we haven’t received a thank you note. I’m kinda pissed, think I should be?? Thanks.

and we did have a relationship, tho quite a while ago, but damn……. I really thought we’d get a thank you, with possibly a hey we missed you at the graduation. Guess not. 😢

I think they were just looking for money.

Write them back and ask and ask if the thank you letter got lost in the mail.

3. NOT getting a thank-you note....

has really been a big issue with me. I'm afraid it has become another victim of our times - lack of civility and decorum - and that is something that has really grown in the 'Time of Trump.'

6. Don't expect one

I sent 50 to a cousin last year for high school grad and not a peep. Oh the check was cash very soon after getting it. I saw her and her parents in July and not a peep. I was surprised but not surprised. I am disappointed that not even a hey thanks for the dough. Nothing!!!!!! I have to keep in mind that this is how it is now and not take it personally. But it’s hard.
