Judas Freaking Priest, these little fuzz balls are fast! I turned my back for a nano-second and suddenly I went from 4 kittens on the couch, to 3 kittens on the couch. Finally found Sootie who proceeded to make another half dozen escape attempts. They are certainly testing my reflexes!
Of course, after wearing me out, she curled up next to me and gave me kitten kisses, so all is forgiven.
Hopefully they are all sleeping because I need coffee. Today I'm transitioning them from the play pen to 'break time' in the en suite bathroom. Ok, the break is for me. But it will also give them MUCH more room to romp. And, yes, I have totally kitten proofed it.
And, that's where they will now be spending their nights. The play pen will now serve as a 'holding facility' when I need a short break to eat, go out to do yard work, or have to run errands.
Now, where's that bottle of Kahlua? I think I need the one infused with Chili Pepper.

(17,616 posts)....over time ( because people deposited their unwanted pets on our land) we ended up with several females who all had their kittens at the same time. We had about 15 kittens who eventually became a herd of kittens. They all ran thru the house at the same time.. it was like a stampede...a very noisy and entertaining stampede.

Actually, sometimes there is a reason and a dead mouse shows up.

(16,368 posts)Including the one I have now, Willow. And when I watch them zooming around, looking like they're chasing (or being chased by) invisible monsters, I can easily understand why people used to think cats are prone to being possessed by demons!

It can be hard to come up with unique names for all the kittens when you're fostering litter after litter, but he earned the name Galileo because he was the explorer, he wanted to know what was "out there."
