Eating Oreos at 1:31 AM

Hellooo loves. So I wanna ask. Does anyone talk to themselves to like give themselves the impression someone is listening? Like you know to give yourself company despite you're alone? I always have done this since I was a kid since I've always had issues socializing with other people. I still do, unless thrusted into a situation where I do talk to others. But like, is it a thing someone has from just being alone a lot during childhood and it's merely a thing to cope with loneliness? Like I kinda came to that realization this morning that no one is really listening, so why bother? It's weird just being silent.

Anyways, oreos. Yay.

I too am alone much of the time, especially because of the pandemic. And it’s funny you mentioned Oreos because I just polished off a row a few minutes ago.

Like I pretend someone is listening when I know no one is? But I keep doing it. I have oreos and watching Tales from the Crypt. Might as well relive some childhood memories.

If it is then lock me up. How did you manage to find Tales from the Crypt, if you don’t mind me asking?

Self dialogue. Certain people do it all the time. About a month ago some articles came out about this phenomena. I will try to post them tomorrow. Has nothing to do with being alone.

I run my mouth talking to myself all the time. I mean really, it is constant. I think it’s a way of thinking things through, although I never really say anything erudite to myself.

Lonely? No. I have about four people I talk with regularly.

I talk to animals, as I think most people do. But I talk to my plants all the time. Today I told some mushrooms how totally adorable I thought they were.

I told a library book that was overdue that I felt bad it hadn’t been able to visit other homes, but that it was so interesting I wanted it to stay with me a while longer.

People on the street while I’m driving in my car: I saw this little old guy who had to be about 85 going like a bat out of hell on a scooter and I said well aren’t you something?

That sort of thing.

I just talk like someone is here. I'm lonely and I'm just kinda tired of it. But it's how I prefer it since no one cares for my company.

oreos but I'd be more concerned if your oreos talk to you! I do support everyone's right to
self-communicate quietly or out loud and to hold conversations with the snack/food items of their choice.

And yes, many people keep pets to keep from being lonely and that's something you could do.

that talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence. I like that. I also talk to my cats and dogs.

I have chips ahoy.

I crack myself up.

And then later I get mad at myself for not remembering what hilarious thing I said earlier.

If I had written some of this stuff down I mighta sold a book!

Don't be ridiculous, you wouldn'ta sold shit.

You don't know! I mighta!

You're already tired of reading this - why do think anyone else would want to read it?

shut up.
