I should have named these kittens Kirby, Hoover, Bissell and Dyson

Because they seem to vacuum up their food!

I think I'd best do a really slow introduction of dry food. Maybe start it out kind of soggy. Or am I just being overly paranoid about doing something wrong?

No need to go to dry food. It’s better for cats to eat wet food as cats get most of their moisture from their food. Cats don’t naturally drink a lot of water. (Dry food can cause kidney problems down the road when they get older.) I would keep them on wet kitten food until they go to their new homes and let their new owner decide what to feed. I do know that a lot of breeders use Royal Canin canned kitten food.

Wet food is better for cats. Eating habits established as kittens tend to be permanent. We got our boys from a home that fed them exclusively dry food and to this day (5 years later) they much prefer dry food, eagerly gobbling their .5 cup dry each and eating their Fancy Feast cans if they feel like it. Charlie tips the scales at 16.5 lbs and the vet said dry food is fattening (carbs) so we have to limit it.

It seems to suit her.

I'm going to do the same with the kittens - well, not the chicken. Just some dry food, probably mixed in the wet. That's what I do for the ferals.

add it to their formula and give them in a bowl. Gradually they head to their mother's bowl.

they got dumped at the roadside park, and would come to our house.

We got a lot of kittens, and they would eat whatever we gave them. I think I'd keep your kittens on a wet diet, or as you say, moisten the dry food. Their baby teeth are so little
