Hello loves, what a time to be alive eh? I got some gardening news! Our pumpkin patch has begun to overrun the patio lol but thankfully a friend of mine who owns a big patch. I mean that kinda patch that sells pumpkins in parking lots every year shared a tip on how to grow more healthier pumpkins. Cut the flowers that are not developing into the pumpkin itself. So as I did that, I found five more developing pumpkins in the patch! So now we have at least seven growing and we just cut another out yesterday that finally turned. I'm so happy! We are gonna have a ton of healthy pumpkins for the Fall season
Once a few more turn, I'll take a nice big family photo of them. But never was able to grow this many really. While our pumpkins are kicking ass all over the yard, my tomatoes and peppers are sadly not even sprouting a thing. I think that was a failed raised bed experiment sadly. Nothing is really sprouting in it. Maybe I did something wrong? Maybe mixture instead of just regular soil was a bad idea. No idea really.

(3,275 posts)I bought salted caramel Oreos the other day. It was the first time I had Oreos in one of the new flavors. It was really good. I may buy some more next time I go grocery shopping in a different flavor.

(989 posts)Of apple cider donut Oreos. I rarely eat Oreos, but I made an exception this time because my friends and I have this tradition of visiting a local farm each fall to pick fruits and vegetables and eat their freshly-made apple cider donuts. Obviously, because of the COVID-19 situation, we were unable to visit last year, and we're unlikely to do so this fall, so I thought these Oreos would be a fair substitute for the real thing.

(70,074 posts)at this time of year i try to prune most of my vines. cukes, etc, and tomatoes, too.
on any squash family, you want to keep those yellow leaves cut, too. anything below the 1st fruit.
but cut the growing tips, too. time to focus on the fruits you have.
