Very happy to report that my niece has take the responsible choice and won't take a kitten

She and her hubby talked it over and they realize it wouldn't be the best for the kitten. So, two will be going to Chicago and two will be staying with me. Sophie isn't thrilled, but she'd getting more and more comfortable with them.

So, I am relieved at this outcome.

2. Sounds good actually. Kittens need other kittens; I always recommend taking 2. Or more!

They'll keep each other occupied and leave Miss Sophie alone most of the time. Emphasis on most.

3. We will have two brother/sister teams

I'll let my friend decide which of the sisters she wants. I already love them both to pieces, so it really won't make that much difference. They both have the same sweet personality and are about the same size, once you get past the fluff.

I'll be glad to have less work and chasing to do, but will miss those two, with all my heart. Fortunately I have 2 more weeks with them.

It's even best for Sophie because the two kittens will be so busy playing with each other that they won't torment her as much.
