... from a Home Depot installer "in 48 hours." After two days had past we called and found out that "48 hours" meant only 8 hour business days. "48 hours" was really 6 business days. 8 calendar days. Who thinks up this stuff????
Just spouting.

(10,749 posts)in contrast, I bought a stove from Home Depot. I ordered it online, and they gave me a delivery date right away. It was a few weeks away, but that was fine. I think it was a couple of days before delivery, got a call to confirm delivery and estimated time. The delivery guys arrived earlier than expected and were very fast.
Granted, this is not installation in the sense that youre talking about, but my experience was pretty good. Yes, I know, Home Depot sucks and all of that But it has what I need, at a fair price, And my experience over the years has been positive.

"Is radiation from the meltdown a threat to people?"
"There is no immediate threat to public health."
