Yes, we got them too..and There is a National Park with that name too..
The Rocky Mountains stretch some 3,000 miles from British Columbia and Alberta in Canada through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and down to New Mexico in the U.S. The range offers dramatic wilderness, diverse wildlife and alpine lakes. Colorados Rocky Mountain National Park is traversed by numerous hiking trails and the famously scenic Trail Ridge Road, a 48-mile highway that reaches a high point of 12,183ft.
Another: Black Canyon of the Gunnison..added by CanonRay

(38,419 posts)Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is in western Colorado. It surrounds part of a deep, steep-walled gorge carved through Precambrian rock by the Gunnison River. Roads and trails along the north and south rims have views of the Black Canyon's dramatic drops and the striated Painted Wall cliff. The winding East Portal Road descends to the river. Wildlife includes mule deer, elk and golden eagles

(21,433 posts)Have seen and recommend:
1. Skyline Drive in Virginia, especially the lookout over the Shenandoah Valley
2. Niagara Falls. The best view, IMO, is the American Falls seen from Canada, BUT, you can also see the Falls from within the US, especially at night with colored floodlights.
3. St. Louis arches over the Mississippi.
4. New England and Middle Atlantic states in the autumn for magnificent tree colors. In spring for maple syrup and maple sugar candy.
5. Lake Erie shoreline from Cleveland or Erie, Pa looking across toward Canada, especially at sunset.
6. Arizona desert around Phoenix.
7. Allegheny National Forest in northwestern PA. Hundreds of acres of old growth trees, plus hiking and cross country skiing trails, campgrounds. Like entering into a different world, apart from everything.
To do:
1. Anasazi ruins at the 4 corners.
2. Historical sites in New England, e.g. Danvers, MA (Salem), Plymouth, historic Deerfield (MA)
3. Yosemite
4. Grand Canyon
