because the video says they were all healthy ans placed (implied right away) into foster care. And it doesn't take long for ones that young to deteriorate without Mom.

Eldad and his crew always make videos of their rescues and you can tell this one has been edited by the dodo. The original video may have said what had happened to the mom. She might have been hit by a car while out looking for food.
