Do you have a sleep schedule?

I do. I'm typically in bed by 10 pm and up by 6 am. My guy says I'm like an old lady with this schedule.

With all the recommendations for good health, especially eating well and exercising, I find that this is the recommendation that's the easiest to follow. (I don't have small children to wake me in the middle of the night.)

I also find that when I'm somehow taken off this schedule, I'm not as productive as I am when I'm able to stay on it.

If I take an Ativan at about 7, I can sleep from 10 to 4. If I don't, I'll likely wake up at about 2 and maybe do a little dozing, afterwards. BUT, if Sophie Stinky Toes wants to stretch out on top of me - all bets are off. Fortunately, for the past two nights she's left me alone.

Before I retired, and was working in one of the most toxic work situations on the planet, I was sleeping 2 to 4 hours a night, max. I'm shocked that I never got into a sleep deprived related auto accident.

Up at 5:30 or 6:00 to brew tea and prepare my wife's lunch. She works, I'm retired.

Asleep at 9:30 or 10:00.

I'm getting used to it, though for most of my working life I slept from 4a.m. til noon.

The day is okay and the sun can be fun,
but I live to see those rays slip away.

I only ever need six hours. I set the alarm for 6, but am often up by 5a or so naturally. Plus, the kittens enjoy the early release from laundry room bondage.

I take a caffeine pill and water and schlep off to gym. If I don’t go first thing, I won’t go later in the day. So water and caffeine, then wander off. That and the cold has me fully awake quickly.

Plus, no one’s here early, even now. Just two other people. So it’s easy to get it all done without much fuss. There’s a guy who’s always leaving as I’m arriving. He has to start at like 4:30 or so. I cannot even fathom that.

Ever since they botched my hernia operation (nicked my bladder, sent me home, bladder exploded, 60 stitches to fix) I have a very tiny bladder and rarely get more then 2.5-3 hours sleep at a time before I wake up having to pee. So I sleep whenever I can.
