“YouTube comedian John Crist's latest funny look at television news uses Houston's KPRC 2 in his recent video "Traffic Reporter Melts Down on Live TV."

The real Anavid Reyes is a woman.

who do the traffic reports with helicopters, must spend a fortune and nobody watches it, they are all on the road, in the traffic, looking at google on their phone.

10. It seems to me that traffic and sometimes weather is a chance for some eye candy on TV.

I know that these reporters are all communications majors and they do a good job but the trend has been undeniable. I’m guessing it comes from Spanish language channels who have some jaw dropping meteorologists.

We don’t have a traffic copter here. A little too spread out I guess. We did have a blonde bombshell as the weather reporter on one station and their ratings went through the roof. The CBS station beat the dominant local NBC station in ratings for the first time in decades. Alongside the weather reporter was the fun sporty cute traffic reporter. It clearly worked and all the other stations almost instantly added their own versions of the same.

That would be insane. Hoping they aren't doing that anywhere.
